I plan to return to full time blogging at the start of the New Year. I had hope to get this thing started up at the beginning of this month but a few things happened. First, when I started outlining my "Debriefing a Church Planter" series I found myself spiraling into a deep depression. I think reviewing my experience began to bring to surface all the things that haven't been properly processed through prayer with God. I must delay that series because it is paramount that I talk to God about all these things before I talk to you. Second, my wife gave birth to my second son, Athanasius (Athan for short) Clive Foster, on November 29th. When named him after the great church father Athanasius of Alexandria. Why? John Piper did an excellent biographical sermon on Athanasius here that will illuminate you. Athan's middle name is drawn from Clive Staples Lewis (aka C.S. Lewis). Naturally, multiple children have made things quite a bit more complicated and I want to figure out some sort of rhythm with them before hopping back into blogging. Lastly, I'm finishing my semester at NKU and have about 50 pages to write between now and next week. Don't give up on me. I've got some really good stuff coming.
Congratulations on your new son. He is beautiful!
