(Michael) Our move to Bloomington went very well thanks to the hard work of my wife, a dedicated group of friends, and the goodness of our Father. We completed a major out-of-state move in less than 12 hours without any complications. Nothing important was damaged. None of our helpers were injured. The boys were agreeable for the most part during the three-hour trek to the storage space in Martinsville. All in all, a nearly perfect move!
We want to thank our Cincinnati moving team that included Andy Survant, John Hensel, Jon Pryor, Michael Clary, and Pat Hart. We also want to thank Emily’s dad, Dr. Joseph Mayer, and his lovely lady, Kathy, for watching Hudson while we loaded up the truck. It would have been a nightmare chasing Huds around!
We want to thank our Bloomington moving team that included Joseph Bayly, Stephen Baker, David Pryor, Pat Hart, and the infamous Baker boys.
You might have noticed that Pat Hart was on both moving teams. The reason for this was that he was kind enough to make the trip with us out to Bloomington. We cannot stress enough what a huge blessing he was to our family this past weekend. Please buy a beer for him on our behalf next time you see him!
We are also incredibly grateful for hospitality of the Schreuder family. The Schreuders are putting us up while we wait to get into our new apartment this June/July. Their place is a definite change of pace. We are use to the sirens and noise of the city. The Schreuders live way out in the middle of nowhere. I woke up this past Sunday morning to a Peacock’s call. Emily said, “I’ve seen more cows in the last few days than I have seen in my entire life.” Regardless, it is very peaceful.
God has poured so much mercy and grace on us during this move that it can be emotionally overwhelming. Our attitude post-move could be summed up in one verse:
“Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.” - 1 Chronicles 16:34
P.S. We will be loading up some pictures on here today but if you are a Facebook friend you’ll have probably already have seen them. However, there may be a few new ones! Check back later to find out.
I'm glad the move went well, Foster family! We love you guys and will definitely miss you back in the Queen City.
